The Commission for Gender Equality (GCE) is calling for a speedy prosecution following the killing of these two high school learners in KwaZulu-Natal.
“These girls had a promising future and we are told that they were doing exceptionally well at school," says the spokesperson for the CGE, Javu Baloyi.
"These kids moved to stay close to school so that they can be safe and not walk a long distance in the morning and evening to school and still they were not safe.”
Javu says they want the case prosecuted quickly as it is straightforward, because someone has already been arrested. “Why delay when everything else is there? When it is possible to prosecute in three or six months?
