AUGUST: Vanessa Lynch is heading to Washington, D.C. at the end of this month to attend the highly anticipated 29th Congress of the ISFG which brings together forensic science researchers and professionals from around the globe to promote scientific knowledge and provide leadership for the advancement of forensic genetics.
Vanessa is also one of six board members invited by the ISFG Executive Board to form part of the Forensic Databasing Advisory Board (FDAB) which has been mandated to address the ethical considerations around questions of data privacy, ethical practices and sensitivity of data on the various online forensic genetic frequency DNA databases. A member of the FDAB will introduce the work of this advisory board at the ISFG General Assembly Meeting on 1 September.
