Applying DNA Evidence in Sexual Violence cases

UNODC in partnership with DNAforAfrica held a three-day interactive event for SADC members in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, which included workshops, presentations and discussions around the use of DNA evidence in fighting GBV. We captured some of the highlights of the event in our gallery below as well as collated valuable presentations from the panel of experts who presented to the attendees.

These collaborative sessions reiterated that we do not have to re-invent the wheel and through sharing and collaboration we can build on existing infrastructures and access some incredible resources being offered to low resource environments.

SADC member states in attendance included Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Comoros, Madagascar, Swaziland, Namibia and South Africa, Malawi and more.
