The Portfolio Committee on Police (South Africa) was recently briefed on the DNA Board’s annual performance for the 2022/23 financial year. The committee welcomed the information that during the same financial year, 856,814 profiles were added to South Africa's national forensic DNA database, which is hoped to enhance current and future investigations.
