The Human Variation and Identification Research Unit (HVIRU) would like to invite you to a workshop on sharp force trauma, to be presented by Dr Christopher Rainwater.
Dr. Chris Rainwater is the Senior Forensic Anthropologist for the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office providing forensic anthropological services for Tarrant, Denton, Parker, and Johnson counties in Texas. Dr. Rainwater received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, his Master of Science degree from Mercyhurst University, and his PhD from New York University. He is certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. Previously, Dr. Rainwater worked for 15 years at the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in New York City as a Forensic Anthropologist and the Director of Photography. Dr. Rainwater has published and presented research focusing on skeletal variation in body size, updating forensic anthropological methods to fit a modern medicolegal landscape, and skeletal trauma, including a co-edited book entitled Skeletal Trauma: Case Studies in Context.
